REDCLIFFE (QLD) WORKSHOP
17&18 October 2026
At Redcliffe Art Society

David will undertake a painting demonstration in the studio on each day showing his technique and explaining his process. He encourages students to be “interpretive in their approach to painting. He believes using photographic images is just “a starting point not an end point for painting”. The first day he will take you through a painting step-by-step. He will work individually with participants during the course of the day. On the second day artists will be encouraged to bring several images (photos or anything that might provide good subject material. Participants will be asked to choose an image they like and paint using that image as a reference. David will also explain during the workshop process how you can get the most out of your images.
